Hello, I've been perusing the site for months now as I've known for a while my wife was getting a new car. After a 2.5 month wait the car came in last week...and it's nice! She ordered a Space Grey Metallic 335xi coupe with the premium package, sport package with 189 style rims, heated seats, comfort access, aluminum trim, pearlescent shifter/e-brake, BMW alarm and body kit (I'll take pics when the weather gets nicer).
I have a question regarding the OEM exhaust. Intially, I noticed upon start-up the exhaust only exits on the passenger side of the car, and then both would open when the engine warmed. Then, I noticed when she drove off, upon launching (no racing implied) both pipes were open and then the left one closed when she reduced the throttle pressure in 2nd gear. Is this normal? I found nothing in the search... :dunno
I know from perusing other car sites, that some manufacturers have OEM exhausts which the "butterflys" open up at a certain.....whatever (i.e., C6 NPP exhaust flaps open above 3500 rpm).
Any feedback is appreciated, and thanks in advance!
