In a middle of a turn the Mini ('02 Mini 5-speed) decided to die. Ok, restart it and it'll be fine right? Starts up, revs go to 2k, drop down and the car dies again. Held the gas down, started it and had it going for a bit so I could get it to a safe spot but while I was driving it, the revs were limited to 2k. Wouldn't go past it.

Already had it serviced and it says they found a fault code P1125 and 1226. Also replaced engine harness 'as per bulletin SI M12 04 02'.

This happen to anyone? I was wondering what the fault codes meant even though the car is fine now.

BTW - Prestige Mini in Mahwah has awesome customer service. One of the techs actually met the car even though the Service Department was closed already.

Hmm... was the engine cold when this happened? I've had the car stall on me a time or two when the engine was still really cold, but that only happened in the winter :az:

Not sure what the fault codes mean either... at least its good to go now.

Nopers, in the middle of my commute so the engine was plenty warmed up. I just thought it was really wierd that the engine would die in a middle of a turn
