Q to admins - confused on policy of this forum

Sorry if this is misplaced, not sure where to post it, but if a regular member has a group buy, does the item have to be one sold only by a supporting vendor or something? The title of the forum is Groups Buys AND Supporting Vendor Specials. I noticed someone had a group buy on grilles and it got yanked for not being a supporting vendor (???). If no group buys are allowed except for supporting vendors, the title should read Supporting Vendor Group Buys and Specials. The way it reads now, GBs don't have to be only from supporting vendors.

Also, if the above is correct, are non-supporting-vendor group buys supposed to go on in the regular For Sale forum, or not at all, or what? :95 :95

If you're the seller, then you'd have to be a supporting vendor. If you're just a member and want other members to join a group buy from an outside vendor then that's ok.

I think I get it. So if I want to buy something from XCorp, and they tell me they cost $100, or $90 if I buy 10 of them, and I ask for 9 other people to buy one to get the discount with me, then it could be posted here even though neither I nor XCorp are supporting vendors. But if I buy 10 for $90 each and want to sell them here for $95 then I have to be a supporting vendor. Right?
