So what is the performance bump in the case of the regular MINI?

For the regular Mini Cooper the power increase is approx. 12 HP and 10lbs. of torque. If you add a cold air intake and a more open exhaust system then we have seen the numbers go up by about another 5- 8 HP. However, the driving experience is quite a bit more enjoyable even with out the other items. By improving the whole range of driving conditions, the program really does make the car feel much more powerful and responsive!

For your 2002 M coupe, The average improvements are over 22 HP and 20 lbs. of torque. If you add a cold air intake and open exhaust to that car, is a real seat of the pants kick butt improvement. My 2002 330 I with the software and the other two items picked up 26HP and 22lbs. of torque. On an M vehicle the change is huge.

Let me know if you have any other questions or if we can program either of your ECU's

What about the MCS hp #s, and what effect will it have on the factory warranty? Also, what happens when the car goes in for servicing and they flash the memory? Do you have an "injector device"?

Revo is supposed to be coming out with software that can be flashed a la shark injector.

Will this software share that approach?

That's the way all software should be made for cars in this day and age.

I have not seen the REVO set up but ours is in place today and works great. I agree that all software upgrades should be done serially rather than risking the cars expensive ECU. The reason we requirre the computer sent to us rather than just set up an injector style toy, is that every single program we install is custom written for every car. Rather than just creating a base file that everyone uses our system take into account the individual vehicles performance, fuel type and driving habbits of it's owner.

Thus with our program you get the best of both worlds. A flawless program upgrrade designed specifically for your car, and the safety of not messing with the computer itself which can get expensive if something goes wrong. Our program is also reversable, you get a customer key that allows us to put back the original factory software if desired and then to go back to performance software again later.

I was asking about the MINI because I am seriously looking at buying one towards the end of this year. I will definitely remember and might have it done once I buy it.

That torque improvements for the M Coupe are pretty impressive for software only. Unfortunately while I have my coupe under warranty I will try to avoid messing up with the engine taking into account the reliability record of the S54 powerplant. In fact right now my lead is way high and I am trying BMWNA to do something about it before something more dramatic happens.

Thanks,
Florian

Since you mentioned S54 first ... how about honest numbers for an '03 M3? I have Evosport Pulleys, K&N, SS MidPipe w/o Resonator, and Borla Muffler.

Well everyothing is as honest as we can get., the number was tested and given to us by Superchips UK. We are doing an M3 with all of your stuff on it actually right now. today we took his stock software and tomorrow or Sat. we will upload the new software for him. He is planning to dyno the vehicle shortly there after and we will have all the numbers for a US spec car with your accessories to post.

Is the software custom tailored for MCS cars that have pulley, intake and exhaust?

Snappermini,

Since we have our own pulley and gear upgrade for the "S" I am sure our software would make a huge difference. With just our pulley set up and our software you get 44HP. If you add the intake and exhaust, you are going to get even more.
