is it the oem cover?

it clips in on each side. getting it into place is a bit tricky, you have to basically go past the mounting point, then come back.

maybe your mounts are covered over, or not installed. if nobody else has photos i'll try to take a few this weekend.

also check realoem.com to see if they have a diagram.

Probably got a cover for a different car. It just snap behind the rear seat. It's not rocket science.

Can you snap a picture as to how you tether the child seat?

Thanks

I don't.

It is on the seatbelt which is the only correct way for a car pre-latch.

It just looks like it is tethered because I oputh teh cover on after.

check the manual for the tether points. I think they are near the seat back in the cargo area. They might have covers on them, they are just metal hooks.

actually, there are tether mounts under the covers, but you'll need a bolt and the metal hook from BMW. it's only a few $, and our child seat is mounted very securely because of the tether.

i'll go take pictures today.

INteresting. the rear facing seat's belts bolted in there, and I was going to use those mounting points For a triangulated strut bar. Never thought about using a Hook to attach the latch systems upper mount to it... Would be great to do but I often use the cargo nets.
