M coupes with vents on rear fenderss?

i have seen SOME pictures of M coupes that have vents right behind the doors on the front of the rear fenders... i cant figure out why some have it and others dont. at first i thought it was a S54 01+ feature but that is not the case from my searches on line..

anyone know what im talking about?

its a piece of magnet that is put there temporarily for trips and such to keep rocks from chipping the paint (I have a nasty one that the gaurds would have warded off).

The older p-cars did the same thing.

Magnetic removable vents are awsome. I relocate mine to the hood for track days.

    MANY TO LIST
Ha, I actually saw a car at a track with "vents" in there for the rear brakes. No pics, sorry. But he used those plastic ducts that you put in the windows and such for airflow into the cabin.

Rear tires need better cooling. The way our fenders are designed, they get too hot and start to melt.
