    VPD oil Cooler installed with pics ~!

    well i got the Oil cooler in today..

    very fast turn around i just ordered it on friday.
    i was amazed at the extremely HIGH quality of this kit and the free Tshirt
    it really made me feel better about the price. the kit installed looks bada$$

    the install was not that hard but time consuming took about 3.5 hours, the ss braided line cutting/and placement was the hardest (i had proper tools though) i give it 6.75 out 10 on difficulty def not for the non DIY guy.

    Before:

    filter removed (they say to empty oil but i didnt because it new and i didnt want to)

    new filter e46 330 (with adapter peices for oil cooler unit)


    new filter installed

    new cap and pin

    cap installed



    hoses after i premeasured and test fit them/aslo with ends added..

    brackets and hose adapters mounted to oil cooler


    had to go buy this plug before i could finish its a 1/4 npt about 1.86$

    unit installed

    hose cover to hide the braid line

    finished cap with hoses

    going on a hour long highway trip tomorrow and will actually see then how much its helped...
    also it added about 1.75 Qts of oil.

    You know what's funny. I think that's the same cooler that Turbo Volvo's use. I used to install those on 16v GTI's. Clean install

    And, any of you guys thinking about going the Vortech SC route down the road, the VPD cap provides a port for the SC oil hookup, so no need to tap the oil pan.
