Not necessarily your most expensive but what modification continues to put a smile on your face. Seats, FI, stereo, suspension, etc?
Look forward to your replies!
Terry
Stuff. I got stuff.
Probably the randy Forbes subframe kit. Besides from future proofing any subframe damage, it makes the coupe much more stable and less unpredictable in transitions (easier to control....)
Do it and love it.
Replacing the VANOS seals - was fun work and the benefit was obvious.
Rogue engineering clutch stop....best 20$ ever spent
6 speed. It gives me a goofy grin every time.

The RF kit and the front Strong strut.
The one that consistently brings the most pleasure is the stereo--of all the cash I've put into it, this is where I get the most bang for the buck.
For me, it's either the Style 86's (Which aren't on the car currently due to needing a full set of tires) Or the chrome door handles/lock pins/ e brake button.

Nice thread Terry! You're always doing something to generate participation, and I can tell you, that is very rare on any of the forums that I visit (not just the several BMW sites, but everything ranging from the Healey to Millerwelds.com, Ridgid tools and, well, just about any topic you can imagine, and there's a support-forum for it).
This thread is a good opportunity for me to say thank you to all the members that have (and those that will in the future) support the products and services that I am able to offer. If it weren't for you guys and girls, I'd still be working in industrial environments doing electrical controls and instrumentation work; it's not that I didn't like my former career, but I did not love it, like I do working on BMW sportscars! Again, my thanks!
As for my own favorite modification, it's not just forced induction, but specifically the Eurosport Twinscrew supercharger upgrade. I have only done two (2) installations so far, and one (1) of those was actually a largely similar package produced by Active Autoworkes. Neither has been for my own car, but I was able to put a hundred or so miles on each car before returning it to their owner__words cannot describe the difference in the car's available power, and it remains completely tractable for daily driving. I did however, secure a secondhand Eurosport TS setup for myself, but I've been so busy since moving to Florida that I haven't had a chance to do my own installation yet; soon though...!!!
For me...multiple HPDE days

For the coupe, the 6 speed/3.73. For the roadster the TCK S/A.
3.73
Do it.
The seat angle mod is definitely the best $20 I have ever spent, next comes the Magnaflow muffler I had welded in, I love the sound of that six just purring along. My latest mods have been the instalation of an aftermarket alarm system and a new radio. The alarm is neat for the door lock feature and off course peace of mind, the stereo, a Pioneer unit I bought used from my son has a much better tuner and plays MP3 and can accept an iPod or iPhone, this increases the music available.
Cool thread for sure Terry, thanks.
Stereo system upgrade + sub -the girlfriend
Projector retrofits & my newly acquired boost! -Tony
I haven't done a ton of mods yet, but the LeatherZ armrest is my favorite upgrade so far. It's comfortable, looks like it always should've been there and made me appreciate something that I always took for granted in other vehicles.
A close second was swapping out the dome and trunk lights with LEDs.

3.73 lsd ;-)
