Hey guys,
Trying to fix my temp control arm today since the "tit"/nib is clearly broken. My issue is that I have removed the radio and loosened the control panel, but have no idea how to remove the adjuster arms from the backside of the panel. From the looks of the pic below, it seems that the red arm must be removed from the inside. How the hell do I get to that!? There is no way the A/C panel is coming out through the radio DIN opening (it's too cumbersome), and I can't take the back panel off due to so many tabs all around it. Can I simply pull the red connector off? Will it break the "tabs" I'm seeing in the pic below? Sorry for being so wordy!

It should just pop out with no problem. Use the usual precautions: try and lever it straight out, don't use excessive force, etc, etc.
I pulled the screws on each side just under the radio opening and was able to flip the entire panel so that things were a little easier to access.
Couldn't get that arm off for the life of me. Some how, some way, I added an r/c ball end-link onto there without removing the arm! Although this project was a MAJOR P.I.T.A. and I was cursing myself for doing it, the feeling of accomplishment is greater! Once I saw that knob turning I was a happy man.
