Homemade hardtop storage cart?

Anyone modified something existing or created their own hardtop storage cart? I don't have the room for the winch/hoist concept, and I'd like to either modify an inexpensive cart or make my own. Before buying hardware and playing, I'm asking if anyone else wants to share what they may have done.

I dutifully IMed the lovely Mrs. Telecomtodd and told her what I was doing. She suggested I look at sheds since the garage is getting quite full - she wants to be able to park her Subi in the second bay.

No tellin' what winds up in the car after a trip to Home Depot!
