Hello all,
Just picked up one of my dream cars to add to the stable! An estoril blue 2000 M coupe with estoril/black interior. Picked her up from a fellow forum member; she is truly a beauty. This thread is going to be a nice way to document all the things that go on with the moupeIt'll also be a cool way to entertain myself while doing work!
I have a ton of parts on order, and the maintenance should begin this weekend. I will also post a lot more pics as things progress. As of now, I have the silver E36 to keep modifying so hopefully the mod bug doesn't bite too hard with the moupe.
While asleep she will be in the garageHere is one pic for now

Been enjoying reading the posts up here on these forums. Looking forward to your build! That blue is such a pretty color for sure.
Congrats and welcome to the Cartel!
Congrats man, welcome to the club!
Is this the car featured on the video recently "what a coupe owner doesn't want to see" ?
Congrats
Not sure I could sit by and watch this happen to my car.
However, you did buy the most beautiful car in existence.
White is Right, Steel Grey is OK, but Estoril is the only color that truly matters.
I like Coupes.
Congratulations!!!
BTW, PM me for an Inspection II hookup![]()
Congrats and welcome to the madness.
You misinterpreted my point.
I was only lamenting on how tormenting it would be watching someone else toil away on my Coupe and knowing that I could no longer enjoy the unexpected exhileration of an on-ramp.
Having it displayed for me to watch would just make the longing grow stronger.
Then again, most of you think I am certifiably insane.![]()

Welcome to the Cartel. I live in San Diego as well, and have seen Ben's coupe...you got a nice one. Hopefully he gave u a MCoupe hat as well. We should meet up sometime as i am sure i can give you lots of mod ideas and we can feed one anothers obsessions.

Welcome!![]()
Solid start for cooling system maintenance. Are you replacing hoses as well? I did the water wetter as well but have heard that for a non-tracked car that is running OEM coolan,t it is not really necessary and may lead to some mild sludge buildup.

If you're running antifreeze (coolant), you'll want to use the diesel water wetter.
Normal water wetter is made to be used with pure water, mixing with the rust inhibitors in OE antifreeze causes the sludge.
Diesel water wetter has the same water-wetter benefits without the rust inhibitors.
Congratulations, and have fun with it.

2002 M Coupe. Steel Gray/Black.
Thanks finz.
So, I finally got to start working on the moupe. feelsgoodman.jpg
- I replaced the high beams bulbs so the output is now yellow(~2500k).
- Changed the motor oil and filter.
- Drained all of the coolant out, flushed the system, and took off all major components minus the water pump and the belts.
Hopefully the complete cooling overhaul is complete by the end of the weekend, so busy with school it's hard to find time to work on the cars.
Here are a few pics...
Got a chance to use the new rhino ramps, very durable construction!

Do rhino ramps actually work for you?? I have a set and I tried to put my roadster up on it (stock suspension, mind you) and I couldn't even get my head underneath except in front of the front wheels. Everything behind that was too low
On the hunt for Westvleteren. Have some? PM me.
