I'm sure a fair amount of you read my thread on a local non-MZ3 coupe: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1793985
Since a non-M Z3 coupe buyers guide website hasn't been set up/published yet, I've been searching autotrader/cars/ebay almost daily, locally and not-so-locally and this one just popped up on autotrader:

Miles are a little high, but if the records are there, that makes all the difference. Anyone local to that area? So.. this thread will be continuously updated until I man up and get one![]()
Just FYI - it states automatic but the pic clearly shows it has 3 pedals and a 5 speed shifter. Just wanted to make sure you caught that.
Sorry, not local.
Im conflicted on that car. Its missing a wheel and gill roundel, but otherwise seems in good condition. I dont care about roundels but, its really about the thought that they couldnt be assed to replace it. But then on the flipside, the tires look new, car seems well kept...
Id have to see it in person to formulate an opinion on it... I would definitely look at it in person. Could be a deal
The gill roundel lose the blue and white part of the roundels just randomly.
It blows off. Not sure how or why, but I had that happen to the Z3 driving to greenville one time.
If its just a silver disk, then its probably not any physical damage but age on the emblem causes the decal to delaminate.
White is Right, Steel Grey is OK, but Estoril is the only color that truly matters.
I like Coupes.
It's at a Ford dealership, you can probably assume they paid KBB value for it.
Yup, I'm definitely searching for a manual, saw the pics, then read the description and pulled a WTF? Do internet sales people never proof read?Originally Posted by MusicCity Coupe
It seems interesting enough to check out. Pretty clean. Do they have any records for the car?

The car is in Paducah, KY where trucks are white and tractors are green. Surprised to see a vehicle like this listed in rural KY. Having grown up in KY and gone to college about 1 hour from Paducah there is not likely much of a local market for this car. They may be willing to negotiate since they could move a dozen F150 king cabs in the amount of time it will take to move this BMW.
Good luck if you decide to move on this car.
Interior looks super clean....
Mods: Remus 76mm exhaust, CDV delete, ASA AR1 18in staggered wheels, Turner 12 mm spacers, custom red tails, Kenwood deck/Sirius/BT/USB, ZHP knob, Redline boot, LeatherZ armrest, Amsoil all around, red needles, Akebono Euro brake pads, 34k original miles!
All I really meant by it is its enough to make me take a closer look at the car. The emblem doesnt bother me as much as the fact they didnt want to/couldnt afford to fix it. I suppose as a non-enthusiast, the only place you know to get roundels is the dealer where they are $$$... still, Id take a close look at that car make sure they didnt cut corners anywhere else.
I have been contemplating listing this car for a short while but your thread made me think that I would like someone to own this car, if I listed it, that appreciated it as much as I do. It seems you would care for it and appreciate it as I have cared for it and appreciated it. For Sale: 1999 BMW Z3 Coupe 5 speed 2.8 Montreal Blue/Tan, 36K, 2nd owner. Service records. Please e-mail me if interested...radams91@hotmail.com. Cannot seem to post pics but e-mail me and I can get them to you.
You have to have a minimum of something like 20 or 25 posts before you can use the photo feature. But you can get around that by using a photo hosting site like photobucket.
Same reaction here!
Out of my price range, but I haven't seen this one yet:

Did you have the s2000? If so, sorry to hear you may be putting the coupe up. I was the salesmen at international motorcars when we took in the s2k.
I haven't seen this coupe, but from speaking with the owner, and examining his other car in great detail, I would be very confident in purchasing this vehicle from him. Best of luck to you, and if you are definitely selling, please email me what you would like for it. A.West@optimustec.com. I'm no longer at the dealer anymore btw, would be a personal car for myself.

Hi Adam and other posters,
Still not 100% sure I want to sell it but I wanted to get an idea of the market. It is on par if not above the condition of the S2K. Thank you for your kind words regarding my care of vehicles. Why did you leave the dealership? Feel free to e-mail me a response.
As to this being my first post and selling a Z...multiple cars=multiple message boards+life=lurking and not posting. I e-mailed some photos to clevertd and he said he would post them for me.
Yup, pics will be posted after work tonight. The car looks immaculate!
It's not black with a walnut interior is it? That would generate some interest.
Geoff.

^^ Looks good. How much is he looking to get for it?
Wonder how would it look with this interior?

Since I sold my Z4 coupe, with 8K miles, I've been toying with the idea of a Z3 coupe. The white one, did look sweet.
Hmmm, I have been trying to get Tiff into a coupe for a while.
Would have to swap the interior to Estoril, but that can be done.
Maybe I should buy that red interior... I have a set of brand new red extended leather door panels I could put into use.
Hmmmm............
White is Right, Steel Grey is OK, but Estoril is the only color that truly matters.
I like Coupes.
There's one near here that needs a little putting back together. I haven't looked at the car yet. I toyed with the idea of making a DD for me.... but I can't justify a sixth hole in my wallet.....
