Is this top some kind of custom made one? If not. Would you please post a link to Hamman website.

    Thanks in advance.

Wow, such a rare and gorgeous hardtop.

Its top of my wanted list but they never seem to come up for sale in the UK and I've never seen heard of one fitted to a UK car.

Could you take some close ups fo the fitting kit as I believe its non OEM ?

That top makes the Z3 look incredible. Way to go.

It's basically an aftermarket top made by the BMW tuner Hamman.just google it. Try hamann.com or autovogue.com
    Thanks in advance.

I've been searching for one for 9 years since I bought my car. This year the stars have aligned and there was on for sale about an hour away from my house.

I will get more pics up as soon as I can. The mounting kit is very different from the OEM one. Although the OEM kit is real easy to use. This kit has alot of adjustments.

It took 4 months to get it painted. My uncle's shop did the work. I get a huge discount, but I have to wait until they are slow, hence the 4 months.

I think the facelifted rear quarters look great with the top as well. Thanks for the compliments.

More pics on a rainy day.
These are of the 2 hinges that hook onto the soft top mounts. The tighter you screw it the further down the top goes. Can't go down too muchbor else the window will hitvthe top.

And some more angles of the car.

    Tiny rear window

So does the top fit into the OEM rear base plates you already had fiitted on the car for the OEM hardtop ? (ie instead of the OEM "handle" mechanism on the roof, you screw in these brackets?)

How does the front attached compared to the OEM top x2 nuts ?

For those interested here is a pic of the Harmann Carbon fibre version that sold last year ;-)

The front screws in just like OEM. 2 screws and you're done. The two rear hinges require the removal of the OEM brackets. They aren't needed. This one just latches onto to the soft top frame, where the frame is bolted to the car. Hard to explain. And I can't get the camera in there to take the pic.

Can you pull one of the brackets off and take a photo?

No way I'm taking the hinges off. If you like I can send you the PDF file that Hamann sent me when I needed help with installation. They have pics of the hinges and where they go. Or if you know how I can post the file up here id be glad to do it when I get home tonight.
