Any interest for a shock sensor kit for BMW's OEM alarm system?

    Hey all,

Just curious if there's any interest in creating a Shock Sensor Kit for the BMW OEM Alarm. As most of you know, it doesn't have one! This could be helpful for such events like potential "hit-and-runs", parking fubars, etc...

The kit itself would be a DIY install or something you can take to a local specialist and will integrate into the OEM alarm. I'm not sure how much it'll costs but I'm hoping for it to be fairly resasonable... I won't be putting said kit together but just trying to see how much interests there is since I'm interested in one for my car!

So what's it worth to you? Basically I want to gauge a yes/no for such a product and what people are willing to pay before other parties would research into doing it.

Thanks and seeya on the backroads,

Hey Loki, thanks for putting this together. Count me in.

I know the guys over at Streeteffectz offer a retrofit, but they never got back to me.

(sorry for steering this topic offtopic)

I took an unused house alarm (which happens to use 12v - perfect for car use) and cut off the old siren.. and just wired it up.. on mine there were 3 wires.. one is for wail one is for chirp one is for ground.. I used wail and ground.. +/- ... Sounds JUST like a cops siren.. just ask the people I have turned it on on..

it happened to JUST FIT in that spot -- its not really TOO LOUD like you would think from a house alarm.. it possibly is not being given enough power to make it like as loud as like in a house.. I am sure a relay could take care of that if you wanted to
