Wrecked 95 Avus Blue/Black M3 (rebuildable)

Hey guys,

Many of you know me from local autocrosses and track events and an unfortunate incident has taken our 1995 Avus Blue out as a total loss.

The car is in great condition and would make a perfect track or parts car.

The car STARTS and Drives... it will need minor frame work and assopciated alignment parts (control arm, tierod, etc).

It has 100,4XX miles on it and fluids changed regularly. Car has Koni SA shocks... tranny mount enforcers, all your typical E36 minor mod stuff.

Not looking to part it out. The headlight is busted, so no ZKWs for anyone...

The engine and all mechanicals are fine.... the car got totalled because suspension was damaged and all these small parts just added up along w/ labor... can you actually believe the labor cost to fix was greater than the actual parts?????

The frame damage on the estimate was only $250... so I dont even think the frame was damaged much... probably tweaked a little.

headlights should be fixable with just covers.

Actually... the lens is fine.. StonGard did its job

The problem is with the mounting tabs... 2 out of the 4 are cracked....

I think the buyback on this is too high for anyone to want... so I am having the insurance company come to pick it up next week.

I will have a UUC Short Shifter for sale soon

i would just let them pick it up for that. it isn't even worth fixing. would take around 3k and you would have a car with a wrecked history with high miles. good luck.

buy back does seem a little high since by the time you fixed everything you would be over $10k for a 104k mile M3 w/ salvage title

The tabs are part of the lens, once you replace the lense you'll have new tabs.

That's what I told them (buyback)... but they disagreed saying the car was worth way more than that in parts since the engine, trans, diff were all untouched... windshield, windows, etc etc etc...

I was hoping it would be around $3k.. because if it were, I'd have a track car by now..

Just towed her home... I'll be taking the Konis out tomorrow...

The ZKWs are actually fine. all mounting tabs are ok, just the "sliding tab" that connects to the turn signal broke off... I already have a potential buyer, so I'll post them for sale in the parts section if that falls through.

If someone wants this car.. you have to let me know NOW... I plan to call insurance on Monday to tell them to take it back...

Car no longer has Koni SA, Tranny Mount Enforcers, Xbrace, Short Shifter, chip....

The guy told us that they actually call around to salvage yards to see what they can get for the car? He wouldnt budge any lower than $5182
