I know there are plenty of threads on this subject but not sure if anybody ever came across these, so I thought of mentioning this alternative which in my view is a much simpler design, snap on blade by Aerotech. I already have one on my 530i and just ordered another one for the M5. They're great and work fantastic, no squeaks or skips.

Before you could mount these ON you will have to remove little bits of pieces from the actual arm and those who have ever replaced these know how complicated did BMW designed them from the factory. Once I receive the new blades I'll post some quick and simple DIY pictures.
But now you're stuck ordering from them forever because of the fitment, no? Or are there other alternatives that will fit the modified wiper?
Thanks Auaq, Just bought 2 sets.
Thanks! Been looking for better wiper blades because the normal ones always end up squeaking
I tried those last year. They lasted about 4 months, than started being unable to wipe the center portion of the sweep (the middle foot of the blade).
the wiper blade dilemma continues.....
what replacement works the best?

Genuine blades. Lifetime warranty. Spend the $35 once and never do it again.
The OEM inserts are no longer available.....
Ecs and autohaus still have them I believe. I ordered them less than 2 months ago

You can buy the aero blades from Conti on eBay and of course Good Rain were the original aero blades so you have a few options
What about these?

Installed the new wiper blades a couple of days ago.
Slide it in the unlock position and the blade drops out.
Next is to drop the wind deflector thing which is a bit tricky. You have to squeeze the two round tabs but since you can't get both of them at the same time (one side is hidden from reach while the other is open), just push in or squeeze one side and then try to twist the entire deflector enough to relieve it from the little holding piece which actually fits in the wiper arm as shown below in the pictures. Then simply pull that piece off the arm and now you are ready to install the new blades.
The new arms from Aerotech simply slide in and snap in place.
All done!
Enjoy!
Nice! Thannks Auag.
Nice. I've been using these wipers without issue for the past two years. They are refillable with standard 6mm wiper blades. I use Silicone rubber on mine. The beam wipers look 1000x better than the OEM ones. Much sleeker.
