    GRP Aluminum Rods $900

    CUSTOM GRP Aluminum rods.
THESE WILL NOT FIT STOCK PISTON (TYPICAL AFTERMARKET/ OFF THE SHELF)

I bought these rods to use in my motor but the seller didn't advertise them as being one off or anything other than a s52 rod. The rod length is 138.5mm. Most common m/s5x rods are 135. Its not an issue at all if you don't have pistons already as you can just order them with the pin 3.3mm higher. The second issue is the rods didn't fit in pistons, I machined them to fit in my weisco pistons and honed the small ends for the standard size pins. The rod bearings need to be drilled for the pins in the caps, I can also include a jig to properly drill them. Basically I fixed all the problems that I bought with these rods. I didn't feel like waiting another 4-5 weeks for a custom piston order.

So you just machined the width of the rod on the wrist pin side? Do you not think this is a structural issue?

I removed .040" from each side. Its still wider than stock and any other aftermarket rod. The only other option would have been to machine the piston as they were trying to take up the same space.
