It should work fine. I have twin 50 trims (larger turbo's) on my 2.4l Mitsu 4 banger and I get 30psi by 5500rpm in 3rd gear. Considering flow potential vs a similarly sized single, thats plenty fast.

My old whip did not see full boost till 6k, so this is a step up!

Project looks great-way to step out of the box.

I know, the tires on them won't last long

just curious: is there an advantage of feeding each turbo from one manifold half?
Or was it not by choice?

I read somewhere that turbos like exhaust flow as continuous as possible and turbo 4potters (comparing to 6 for instance) actually suffer from too large of an interval between the exhaust pulses at low rpm.
But i see even BMW used same idea on 335i, so i am at a loss

It was not by choice, it just happened. I can't imagine the pulses being so far apart that it makes a pulsation in the rotation of the turbos.

Thanks, I like doing something different. Its much more fun figuring it out by yourself, rather than reading install directions from AA or something like that

I'll believe the car runs when I see a video.

Preferably in HD, with your car walking an e39 M5.

I tell him that all the time. So much time/money into a front wheel drive, when he has a Miata that needs more power. Oh well.

I'd settle for 3 bimmers in my garage instead.

Spool time may suffer a tad, but thats still 1.4-1.6L per turbo (assuming a 2.8-3.2L), and they are small turbos too. The benifit is during boost, you don't have exhaust starting to vent on one cylinder while another is experiencing overlap, causing reversion. Turbo engines usually see 2-3x the pressure in the exhaust manifold as the intake, so during overlap you want to minimize any added backpressure if possible. This is why a larger AR divided housing makes more power and spools sooner than smaller undivided housing turbo.

    They shouldn't!

If your at a 3:1 ratio-your doing something very wrong! (or, and just cranking the piss out of an overly inefficient set up) My Colt never ventured much over 1:1, @708whp

Hey, just noticed this thread. Props on a very cool project.
I thought I saw a loud E30 driving the other day out of the corner of my eye
    Good luck with it all.

I apologize for bringing this thread back from the dead but, what did you do in regards to the wastegates? I am doing a similar build on my e36 but I can't find info on the wastegate pressure or getting a second wastegate for the second turbo.
