I'm pretty sure the SAP pipes are outside, connected to the exhaust manifold.... I wonder what the hell a pipe is doing inside the head's coolant passageway under the intake ports!

Coolant from the front thermostat/waterpump housing to the coolant nipple at the back of the head to the heater core.
