Has any one replace there IVM module in a bmw 745 li 2002, where can I find it in the car.

Thank you for all your help, im trying to find someone who was install A IVM module into there 745li, there a service bulletin ( 120602 )that tell you the following : slow down, engine not working correctly, and ect and it say all this with the car off and keys in. And when you hit the start buttion and it just clicks. The Dealer want $725.00 to install a part that cost $125 to $140.00
It should be covered by warranty!!!

SITUATION
The relay contacts in the integrated supply module (IVM) may be contaminated due to paraffin evaporation.
If an affected vehicle has a potentially defective IVM module installed, it may cause an intermittent "crank, no start" condition.
AFFECTED VEHICLES
This Service Action involves E65 and E66 vehicles with N62 engines which were produced from start of production up to June 14, 2002.
In order to determine if a specific vehicle is affected by this Service Action, it will be necessary to utilize the "Service Menu" of the DCS (Dealer Communication System). Based on the response of the system, either proceed with the corrective action or take no further action.
Hello , do you know where the IVM is located on the 745li
it took me 12 minutes to change...
it is under the hood, passenger side rear of bay.
remove air cleaner with clip,
remove filter
remove allen head bolts on plastic cover.
# all connectors i took off the top first.
then change the bottom 1 at a time..
install the ivm back in place with plastic clip in (push back in place)
and follow in reverse...
it took me 5 minutes out and 7 to get it back in
$700 is horrible from a dealer.

I always see people get mad when someone responds to an old forum. Who CARES. I just found my answer years later because of the gentleman who answered it 7 years later. Thank you for answering 7 years later, because it helped me! So tired of people thinking we answer the question just for the one who asked it.
