Difference between Garrett T3/T40E and T3/60-1?

...is the difference between the two simply in the compressor housing? Which one would be best for ~7psi? And yes, I've searched, and read and read. So much so, I think my head is going to explode.

It always "depends" on what you want to do. Considering you chose to go with a .63 turbine you're probably looking for pretty good spoolup and moderate top end. I'd go with the E. I actually have a brand new one laying around in the box... I think it has the specs you want, but I'll have to check.

Thanks for the reply Boris. Do both of these turbos fall into the category t3/t4 hybrid? It's the t3-60-1 that TT chose to use isn't it?

    Yes, but it's almost overkill for 7psi on a 3.0 with a .63 a/r housing. TT doesn't use a straight T3/60-1, it's a HiFi.

By the way, I just checked and what I have is a Garrett T3/T04E 60-Trim Turbo w/water housing. It has a 4-bolt .63 A/R garrett turbine housing w/Stage 3 wheel.

In all honesty it's perfect for your application. Plot 7-10psi w/your 3.0 on its compressor map and you'll see.
