Just got here.. I purchased my 94 540i (E34) Jan. 31st of this year. The car had 225k mi. on it when I bought it, but the engine was replaced around 85k mi. with an alusil block. I've just been in the process of fixing up all the little things - like: window switches, window regulators, powerseat issues, new radio, new keyless entry remote key, small coolant leak at the thermo housing, cleaning & treating the leather (needs another session), de-oxidizing and polishing up the paint (as best I can), and just generally accessorizing the car to my standards.

I installed an E.A.T. performance chip in it a couple weeks ago (very nice results). Put in a kenwood single CD deck. I had the windows tinted last week. Slapped a colgan bra on the hood only (mainly to cover up the numerous rock chips). It's coming along.

The bad news is that I won a set of wheels off ebay a day after I bought the car, supposedly the wheels were for an E34, but the offset is 38, yup E36 wheels. Not only that, the seller took over a month to ship them and not all the tires match. The good news is that the wheels are authentic, made in Italy, Racing Dynamics RGR 17x8 chrome wheels. Pretty good shape, only 1 wheel has much in the way of scratches or gouges on the lip, and since they're chrome there's no color change so it's hard to see. 1 wheel needs a center cap replaced. If anyone out there knows a 3 series owner looking for some wheels, I need to unload these to someone who can use them. I'll be posting an ad in the appropriate forums soon.

That is all for now... I'll try to get picks of my E34 up soon. Oh yeah, It's Oxford Green/parchment leather/ with the dull old basketweave 15s. It looks great with the tint though.

If anyone can give me any availible info on those wheels, that would be great. They are may be the originals, as there is a matching spare, but i am curious to know if they are anything special, as they look a bit different to me from most of the Sport package wheels I see.

The wheels you have on your car are an OEM Style 42 wheel made by BBS for BMW. They are one of the best looking wheels on an e39, IMHO.

Given the color of your car, I thought you might want some info on paint care. After a lot of trial and error, I've settled on Meguiars wash, Griot's clay, 3M hand glaze, and Pinacle Sovreign wax. This will give you a deep shine that will last and last.

I am having trouble believing how good this car is! Its such a huge step up from my 3'ers - quieter (even with sunroof open), smoother, bigger, more comfortable, decent boot, handles like a BMW should, I even love the 10 speaker stock stereo, I particularly enjoy having more storage space around me. All in all, its going to take something very special to divert me from my 528! I just love it! This is a keeper!!!

I bought this car on 7/1/05. It had 16,000 miles on it. I was fortunate to have found such a pristine car with low miles. The 5 spd trans. makes it a lot of fun to drive. This is my first BMW. Ive always had Japenese cars,including a Lexus. I am still getting used to a rear wheel drive car. I have found myself wanting to take the long way home every day so I can drive the car more.
