I'm looking into buying a 2010 528i, have a few questions.
1. Is there any way to tell from vin what packages are included?
2. Seller is saying it has M package but I kind of doubt this, can you tell from pics?
3. Will BMW do a prepurchase inspection, if so what would be included? (accidents, repairs)
4. Car has 83k miles, what should I be looking for?
Here is one I'm considering

A vin decoder will provide you with the original build order as the car was assembled. It will not reflect any options or changes that have been done to the car after it left the assembly plant, even if they were installed by a dealer prior to delivery to the first owner.
Here is a vin decoder link so you can look at the car as fitted, when it departed Germany.

Is it an xDrive ? My understanding is that the M-package on xDrive cars is cosmetic only.
Wouldn't m package include aero/styling? The car has non-m bumpers.
Too much for that car IMO...
I would keep hunting to find better deal.

And there is no M package at all.
Doesn't have M seats,
Doesn't have M bumpers,
Even comes with small screen...
Mine 2004 530i has more options,
which I picked up in 2014 and paid 4K...
BTW, runs like champ...
