Love the hours of watching the awesome cars that come up for auction.

Just curious if anyone has ever seen an 8 series come across the block?

The only time I ever saw an E31 shown and/or discussed on the Velocity network was during an episode of What's My Car Worth. Someone mailed in photos of their 850 CSi looking for an evaluation. I can't remember the price they said but they only gave the car a "C" in collectability. I could see that rating for a standard E31, but given the CSi was produced in such low numbers, I would have thought it would be higher.

You see them occasionally. Mecum had an 850 last week that went for $11k IIRC.

I believe there was one either last year or the year before at Scottsdale. I don't remember the year, model or price, but it I think it was in the $15k range.

I didn't get to watch a lot this year, but it does seems that american muscle is fetching a hefty price.

They do come through once in a blue moon.
As far as "What's my car worth" I dunno if I would bet the bank on their opinion with regards to the E31s.

I hear you on the American muscle cars this year - especially 68 and 69 Chargers. I don't I saw one sell below $100k.
