Got tired of people flashing me at night thinking that the fog lights were high beams, as most people immediately assume that if they see two sets of lights close together that it is someone running with their high beams on.
So I took a shot at replacing what was 9006 Silverstars with the Optilux Extreme Yellow XY bulbs by Hella.
They are still 55W units, so I'm now hoping that with the obvious yellow color, people with half a brain will realize that they are fogs, not some idiot running with their high beams blaring.
It does give it a different look, which I really like so far. We'll see how this works out in the long run.

Here, an alternate technical approach, with no product endorsement from me or comment about which approach is better.
This demonstrates stuffing the bulb with a gas mix that produces yellow, as opposed to tinting the bulb to remove colors that are not yellow.
The "plasma ion" marketers will accuse tinting of stealing lumens from your 55 watts.
