my dad currently owns a 2006 550i e60. the car is getting too old to be taking to the stealer ship every week or so for electronic errors and what not. I think it's time that we find a way to bypass alot of the unreliable electronics in the car. starting with the pain in the button steering lock. I read a little but on it and it seems to be a common problem in the e60. and I was wondering if there is a way to by pass it. any ideas??

car won't start unless you park it with the wheels perfectly straight. if you do and you accidentally bump the steering wheel on the way out of the car. it will lock the wheel and you won't be able to start it.
