Evening folks,
Just purchased a pretty well specced e53 3.0d but now I've got it home I'm struggling to pair the Bluetooth after following various guides. Also getting a 'no disc' msg on the screen even though the cartridge is full. Are there any quick fixes I can do before I get someone in to look at it?
Cheers.
I've had a similar, sporadic issue in the past - I'd try to get the codes read and see if anything pops up. I don't think there is a "quick fix", you'll have to see if the radio system is faulty. Is the 'no disc' message in regards to the navigation?

Not being there to "see" what you're actually seeing...I'm interpreting your text as you're expecting the vehicle to find your phone and for it to appear somewhere in the vehicle that your phone has been found? It's actually the other way around. During the "pairing" window...open your phone's BT setting and see if your BMW is listed.
If you're using the instructions below...when you first turn the ignition on...your BMW should be "BT visible"...this is when you go to your cell phone and turn BT on to find pairable devices. You should see your BMW on the list (should say "BMW _ _ _ _ _"...where the blank spaces are the last 5 digits of your BMW's VIN).
Select your BMW on your cell phone...then proceed to enter your BT module's PK (passkey) CODE.
KL R = ignition position 1
KL 15 = ignition position 2
