Hi all!
Just got my 2010 535i E60 m-sport which I'm in the process of going FBO.
The OWNERS MANUAL has me confused about these functions.
On my e46 I have, in the past, pushed the control button ONCE to turn off(?) the traction control if I know I've got to jump out in traffic, etc. If I don't, I will sometimes experience a fuel cut and speed reduction while trying to get out in traffic.
So...
If I need to jump out in traffic, or simply want to "get it" off the line...what should I be doing with these buttons first? Also, I believe that the JB4 has some sort of option for this?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

If you push the DTC and hold it down, it will completely shut it off traction settings. I think just pushing it once and not holding it for a few seconds turns it on.

DTC allows some wheel spin, but keeps stability control on full. It is good for going up hill in snow, as traction control will limit the engine speed and make you lose momentum. To turn on Dynamic Traction Control, press the DTC button once.
DSC disable turns off all traction/stability control (besides ABS) similar to your E46. To turn it all off, hold the DTC button until "DSC Off" comes on on the iDrive screen.
So to jump out in traffic without the engine "adjusting" (reducing output, backing off), just push the DTC button once. Then afterwards, push it again to return to normal. Sound about right?
