Will old Recaro Porsche seats fit an e34?

I found some nice 911 Porsche seats for sale locally and am wondering if they would fit an e34?

I have a 1994 525i

The seller told me that the rails that come with them are for 1965 thru 1989 911 Porsches so I am sure I will either need to modify the rails or buy make new ones.

Does anyone know if the seats themselves will have enough room?

They should with different brackets. Wedge and corbeau make aftermarket seat rails for the e32 but the e32 and e34 from my research have the same front seat rails.

The Porsche seats look kind of wide though. Do you think they will fit width wize?

I am sure I can fabricate brackets to make them fit but I am wondering if anyone knows of anyone putting this specific sized recaro seats into an e34. Ie...will they fit with the doors closed and will the seats sit too low requiring some sort of riser blocks to be added under the rails?

I meant to say that they look wide in the area where those big cushions are on the sides. The bolsters I think they are called. If you look at the front view photos you will see what I am referring to on the seat back sides.

What do you guys think? Is $550 a good deal for these?

It seems that they might have come in some bimmer models actually, or something very similar to them. I might be totally wrong on that, but I found a photo of some CT seats in a 2002 model car so they should fit (width wise) into my e34 no problem.

Wow that's an amazing find. And yes as you already discovered, the same seats are used in an Alpina B10, so they fit perfectly, provided you can find the adapter brackets.

Awesome! I hope no one else in the area tries to snipe them on me! I have been looking seats for my e34 for over a year!!!

I was not able to get the seats on Friday and someone else grabbed them up I think. Bummed I missed out...anyone else have any recaro seats for sale? ;-)
