Hi all,
I have a 2012 X5 35d and back in July of 2016 I had a 4 wheel alignment at my local dealer due to some front driver side tire wear. Mileage at the time was 40,441. I now notice some serious wear on same tire (outer tread towards rim) at 47,600. I am sole driver of this car and i do not track any DE events or drive aggressively on streets. Is this a sign of something more than just an alignment issue? Are these cars known for 'going through' tires?
This is caused by alignment or hard driving. On any car. Doesn't matter what make or style. Some cars have more power or different alignment specs. But you can drive soft or have the alignment set to a less wear setting if you like. Nothing special about an X5 as far as alignment.
