Fault code 67 - Safety Concept Monitoring

2001 740iL every once in a while it throws the check engine light which I have figured to be, using table 0F to be code 67 Safety Concept Monitoring

I have checked vacuum hoses, MAF intake sensor connections, all electrical plug ins under the hood. Car operates just fine.

Don't know what that code is, or what generic scanner produced it. Have a scan done with a BMW specific scan tool or computer with BMW specific software. The BMW Carly app would display a more useful code.

That sounds like the scan code from a Peake FCX 3. I wouldn't exactly say it's a generic scanner as it's got tables and tables of codes.

Use an actual OBD2 scanner and get the Pxxxx code. Most auto parts stores (O'Reilleys, Autozone) will let you read codes for free. And if you work on cars a lot, I recommend spending $50 on a decent code reader for yourself.

It is, when you need to read through tables upon tables of deciphered codes.
