I have a love for e36 coupes and a clean one only pops up every once in a blue moon,<br>There is an 1992 325is 5psd for sale, Just not sure if I should buy, It clean as they come two owner 212km, The only catch is its on ugly steelies and the color is Beige, It passed an inspection so its mechanically sound, rims can be fixed but I have a deep respect for kasmore beige just personally I dont love it. I sure dont mind it although Ive seen some pictures online of stunning beige E36 bmwers,
The first photo is what it looks like right now,(Except stock ride height and steelies)
The second photo is what I would like It to look like if I were to buy it
The price of the car is 3000 Cad (2500 Usd), It comes with new brakes and coilovers (cant remember name brand they do look used although)
In my opinion if it's solid and puts a smile on your face get it, everything else can be fixed

Spend so much time driving it you forget what colour it is.
Not so much a signature as a cry for help.
Hold on, saw this in a cartoon once...think I can pull it off.
Oh that's pretty. That front 3/4 view has me all

There is a logical way to solve this.
Lets consider all the factors...
1. Clean E36 coupes are hard to find, especially in Canada, I assume (lower volume)
2. This one has stock wheels which probably is a good sign it was never modded or bastardized
3. You are not particular about the color. If it was a car where finding a replacement was easy, this wouldn't be an issue, but as you said, it's difficult to find a clean example
4. You probably value mechanical soundness and reliability above aesthetics since it isn't easily fixed
5. If you don't act quickly, you may miss your opportunity all together
So do you accept the compromise of color in exchange for the more desirable characteristics you seek ("clean", mechanically sound)?
The answer is yes. Aesthetics can be more readily remedied than the other factors. If you keep sitting on your hands, you'll miss your chance. So move it!

Currently in the market for a Z4M Roadster and a NA 1.8 Miata
I say go for it. Not my favorite color, but great price if it's in good condition!
