New car New build any suggestions?

Hi Guys
I have just purchased this a E30 M3
Right now there's an S38b36 engine & gearbox. But I'm not completely satisfied with the weight & size of this.
So I'm thinking of doing a S54 swap

Any pros / cons or other suggestions ?

Is the s38 so special?
I'm new to the Bmw scene, earlier a Audi RS and supra mkiv owner for the last 10+ years. So I'm still learning.

It's the biggest and best I6 bmw ever made for high hp.

But it doesn't seems like there's room for a cooler without cutting in the car.

What about the S54 or M50b30?
We have some over here making 1000+ hp with them here.

That is odd! Guys in Sweden have been putting turbo S38s in everything making 1000+hp for decades.

Yes and now they make 1000+ on s54, m50, s50..........

I know it can make the power but so can all the other engines

S54 should fit a lot better, how does an S38 even fit without sticking out the hood? Dry sump maybe?

Id keep the S38 and put an S54 in. M50s fit fairly well in the E30 afaik, so an S54 should too. If you want big power though maybe go with the M50. Cheaper to buy, its a more common swap so more info out there, cheaper to modify, more reliable...

I thought on doing the m50 with the 3.0l crank & turbo but I'm confused now hahaha
