1993 BMW 328i Project

Hey everyone, I bought a 1993 318i for $300 and it is a total bomb. Me and my dad are fixing it up and one of many problems we ran into is the ignition key. The previous owner has ripped out the ignition and it now has some bodgy system with another ignition and a button to start it. Wondering what we should do about locking the car and getting a replacement ignition. Thanks.

Uhhhh, well getting parts might be easier if you know what car you have. You said 1993 328i? I'm almost positive that the 328i/is/IC didn't come into production until 1996. You probably have a 325i
