So my 328I is overheating all fluids have been done on their scheduled dates. I can drive about 2 to 3? Miles before the fan kicks in once it's on after a minute or so the fan gets really loud shortly after the overheating warning light comes on now if I don't pull over right then, it will slow the car until I have no power at all to the gas. Sometimes I get further than 2 to 3 miles I got around 5 to 7 trying to make it to the dealership I had to tow it after it overheated I didn't want to damage it further. Lithia says it's a clogged heater core.......$2,000 repair if they do it. I don't trust them I'm a nice guy and can say EVERY employee at this location is an asshole but only after I bought it two faced dicks if you ask me. I waited 3 weeks for them to tell me their diagnosis lucky I have a reliable 1991 Buick that just won't die as backup transportation. Any ideas would be appreciated before I go get another second opinion.
Water pump
Yea sounds like a water pump or thermostat....a bad heatercore won't cause an overheat unless it leaks your antifreeze out so if the water level is ok look at the water pump or thermostat
