I have a 95 e36 325is and I can't get it to start for anything, I think my key just failed me ... I can't get the car to start for anything, I wasn't getting a check engine light for awhile and changed the fuse and now it's back on, but my fuel pump isn't priming, I brought another fuel pump and same thing ... I'm getting a signal to the fuel pump (checked with volt meter) but it's not priming ... I think I have the ews 2 because there's an antenna ring on the tumbler ... The dme is a maroon 413, but it's not doing anything with or without the key ... The cars been sitting for 2 months now, battery is 12 volts, I keep it charged, changed dme and fuel pump relay, tested starter (fine), I just think my key has finally given out on me ... I'm the 3rd owner, so I only have 1 key ... could I get a delete chip or bypass the ews or what can I do to get the fuel pump priming again ... I saw a couple videos of cutting the wires behind the glove box, I tried that, got the starter to crank, but the fuel pump still wouldn't prime ... help please ... I also brought another maroon 413 dme and it still didn't change anything ...
FIX - after everything and realizing the bypass wasn't working because I have a ews ii, I went ahead and ordered a delete chip and she fired right up with my old maroon 413 ... installed a push button start also and life is great again ...

Did you buy a good fuel pump, or a $45 eBay one?

I brought a oem 1 ...
Anything yet? I'm having the same issue.
after changing everything and checking everything, from the relays, starter, fuel pump, even got another dme and nothing was still happening ... so I got a delete chip and she fired right up with the old dme, there's no way to bypass ews ii without the chip cause I tried everything ... ews i you can bypass, ews ii you have to get the chip ... some people say the 95's have ews i but I knew mine had ews ii because it has the antenna ring ...
I bypassed the ews on my 95. I had the same no start problems as others. After that, it fired right up. I'm not sure I'd having a red label ECU was needed or not.
