Firmware File Needed - Mediabridge AMBR-1500-BMW

Well looks like audiovox finally pulled the plug. I have 2 mediabridge units that have original buggy firmware - on my e39 and my e46, I was going to get to updating it last week, when their website was still up - but went to do it today.... Offline. Page is down, missing. Gone forever it seems.


Called up support - sorry, discontinued. We cant help you.


Does anybody have the 7114 firmware saved as a file? I have the installer, but it's trying to connect to their site online... which is gone.


It's a shame - I just picked these up recently, and have been using these units for a while....

Have you tried the "Wayback machine"... The Internet Archives?

Of the you can pull files from there.

Every time i have a run in with Audiovox......nothing but problems. My mediabridge is 14 months old with nothing but problems. They blamed my radio, battery & myself. The customer service is not worth the cost of a 800 number.

I had lots of issues during my installation on my '99 E39, but I was connected with Dan. He really knows the MediaBridge and he helped me troubleshoot the problem to a defective DSP interface box. He is worth the wait.

I also talked to Apple about their new iPhone SE several times. They had me reset the iPhone by holding the power and Home buttons at the same time. I then upgraded to 9.3.5, reset the Network Settings under Settings/General/Reset/Reset Network Settings, then re-paired the iPhone to the MediaBridge. This made the Bluetooth HandsFree function.
