No halo for 2017, came to their senses.

Not only are the Halos postponed but Fia also decided to free up the radio communications as well.
Clearly you guys are not upto date with F1 news or what exactly happened and why they parted ways! Get your info correct - they parted ways due to personal reasons. Did you even read what Jock Clear stated about this situation? I guess not!

Another knee jerk response- what do you think, if there was no development - the gap to Merc would have increased, the fact that they are somewhere around 0.4 to 0.8 give or take depending on the circuit is a fact that the gap has remained a constant, if there was no development it would have increased no?
Red bull's development curve has been impressive, but they are still ahead or behind Ferrari based on circuit to circuit - but even their gap to Merc has been pretty consistent as Merc still holds a major advantage!
Calm down tiger - it's an internet forum. I just learned that Allison's wife passed away, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be developing the car at a pace equal to or faster than their rivals. Over the last few races, Ferrari has seemed to consistently place behind one or both Red Bulls.
Yes, Red Bull's development has been impressive this season.
I'm betting Rosberg is going to win.
So a few laps in, DRS is now enabled, so NOW Rosberg decides to start saving tires (after nearly getting past Ricciardo but all he had to do was squeeze Nico a slight bit and Nico folded as usual). My god he is an idiot, and has absolutely NO instincts to pass anyone. What a failure of a driver.
BMWs are fun in the snow too...
So Rosberg passes Mr. Braking-Zone-Multi-Move (Verstappen) and...of course gets a penalty!
F**k Charlie Whiting in the a**. I guess Hamilton (who went to tattle on Rosberg in Hungary without informing the team or anyone), Sky, or someone has paid him enough.
I really want to see Hamilton pull his signature move (the one he pulls almost every time someone is about to pass him = pushing them wide exactly like Rosberg just did) next time and see it ruled as completely clean again by that d***head Whiting.
BTW Verstappen did once again move in the braking zone: of course that affects Rosberg's braking distance since he has to turn while braking, as that means you have to release some braking pressure. Besides, if someone is that clearly ahead in braking what the hell was Verstappen doing trying to stay on the outside anyway? Rosberg would've been allowed to push him off at the end of the corner anyway (as we've seen countless times without penalty), and even then he wouldn't have had a chance to get back past. The only smart move (aside from fishing for penalties) would've been to hold back and try to cross in for the undercut, as we saw Alonso doing earlier.

Previously 100% fine, no penalty, not even investigated IIRC:

And there have been countless other cases. Just for the record: I think all of the cases of someone pushing a competitor off the track should be penalised, but if you don't penalise them generally then that should be the precedent and you can't penalise one driver for the same thing contrary to established 'de facto rules'!!

Haha, Williams once again masters of strategy... How can a team be so consistently catastrophic on strategy for so long? How many strategists have they been through, or do they have some team boss screwing things up which means they keep at it since they won't be fired?

Being a Ferrari fan is not easy this year.
another race decided within few seconds of the start.
I hear you man! #ForzaFerrari
Did you see Lewis's comment that he turned down the engine on the 2nd or 3rd lap - I was like WHAT! I mean seriously just think about how much cushion the Merc's have - its really impressive the job they have done.
Mick Schumacher was in the paddock as well - really hope that kid has a steady head!
Only thing I'll add is that I don't think it's an issue of not turning the wheel which all the commentators jumped on. Even if he braked deep and needed to keep the wheel straight it was still pushing another driver off the track whether on purpose or accidentally.
I am surprised though with the penalty which I guess they thought he did it on purpose? I'd likely have just made him give up position.
As for Charlie Whiting being the issue, I think it was the panel that Charlie is not even on.
But isn't it the race steward's decision that ultimately sends out the penalty to a driver??
There is a different race stewart each race. Typically previous F1 drivers.
Yes, different steward for every race and he gives out the penalty to the drivers.
Yes but the race steward decides whether or not to give the penalty. Its not up to Charlie Whiting.
