BMW X5 2002 check front fuel pump message

So I was driving my car normally when I suddenly get a "Check front fuel pump" message. I have been driving normally with no problems for hours after that .. And why does it say "front fuel pump" .. Is there more than one pump in the X5 02?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Are you sure that's what it said? Do you have any missing pixels? If it was a real warning from check control...and the problem still exists...you should have status arrows on the left & right side of the cluster's display...and if you press the right cluster button, it should call the warning back up onto the display.

The only other thing I can think of is...you don't give your model (but thanks for the model year)...and you live in a part of the world where the e53 M57 diesel may have been sold...and those of us in the USA didn't get that model...so we're not familiar with it at all.

    If you're asking a question about the engine...we kind of need to know which engine you have. . Do you have the 3.0 (M54 B30), 3.0d (M57d30), 4.4 (M62TU B44), or 4.6is (m62 B46)?

Qsilver7, It turns out that there were some missing pixels and the warning was "check front foglamp", lol. Anyway I replaced the dead fromt foglamp and the warming went away. Thanks alot for your reply tho!

Well that's great!. Thankfully it was something simple and easy to fix. I do appreciate you replying back that you got everything resolved and that you were able to correctly interpret the message on the display.
