I get conflicting answers as to the correct offset for 15"x6.5" wheels to fit a 2002.
Can someone please give me the correct answer.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Mel,
Many folks nowadays are running 7" wheels on 2002s with et25 (using 195s). So for comparison, a 6.5" wheel (12mm less width) with et19 would have it's outer edge in same outward position as the et25 7" wheel, and a 6.5" wheel with et31 would put the wheel's inner edge at the same position as the 7" et25 wheel. So I'd say a 6.5" wheel between et19 and et31 would likely work, maybe with some additional play of a few millimeters. I've seen folks run as low as et8-12 in a 6.5, with fenders rolled...
HTH,
Tom

4mm more (35mm vs 31mm offset) might get close to hitting the strut, depending on tire size, but it's definitely 'safe' on the outside. If it were me, I'd go for the 6.5" et20 vs 6.5" et35 for a 2002 fitment.

not what I said at all... why 'force' the et35s and spacers when the et20 likely would fit better
