Hi Guys,
I want to install nice rims on my 745i, but want something that goes well with the line of the car.
I am looking at a minimum of 19 inches, but can go bigger (up to 21 inches)
I've seen the style 128 in a 9x19 / 10x19 and they look pretty good, but I want to list my options before I pick something as many rims may look good from X5 / X6 cars for example.
Can you please share your set-ups, or suggestions, with pictures if possible.
Thanks a lot
Franck

Hi,
There's lots of wheels you could get, 19's look small on the E65, 20's is what I'd say is the minimum size to go for to make an 'impact'. If you can go to 21's even better. 22's will also fit on the E65 as well. It all depends on what kind of look you want, how much you want to spend and any specifics in terms of widths, offsets, wheel style design (deep lip, stepped or reverse lip, deep concave, type and colour of finishes etc)
Take a look in the 7 series section to see what other 7 series owners have done, then make a shortlist of the wheels you like and then research to see if they're within budget etc.
Cheers, Dennis!
Below is a link to the wheels we carry that fit your car. Unfortunately I do not have a picture to show you what they look like on the car. If ride quality is important I would not go over 20". The bigger wheels are going to give you a stiffer ride and be more likely to get damaged. If I can help let me know.

thanks for sharing
I agree that 20 inches may be better
I want something like 9x20 - 10x20 in terms of size.
I may have found some style 101m original BMW wheels in 20 inches.
I'll browse the sections to list my options
Thanks

Hello Jim ! My wife drives a 2012 535i M sport package. It came with runflats that are pretty worn in the rear, but the front has a lot of life left. I'm wanting to get away from the runflat tires, as they are too much trouble and don't last real long. I'm wondering about my options if I go with a conventional ( non RF ) tire, and should I just change all 4 , even though the fronts aren't worn bad ?
I'm looking at 4 different choices :
Michelin pilot ss
Bridgestone G-force Comp 2A
Bridgestone Potenza S-04
Continental Extreme contact DW
Can you give me some insight on my options ? Also what type of tire kit is best for emergencies if I go Non RF ?
Thanks.
If you change to non run flat you need to do all four. Of the tires you have listed I would go with the Pilot or the S04. They are rated 1 and 2 in our tire test. While they are not really going to last any longer they are going to handle better and have better ride quality. If I can help let me know.
Will do Thanks !! Oh yes , and BTW , I had planned to change all 4 tires ..LOL
Jim, please help me with another decision . I've narrowed my choices down to Bridgestone Potenza S-04 , or Bridgestone RE970AS Pole Position. If I'm not mistaken, the RE970AS has a 40,000 mile tread warranty, the S-04 has none. Just wondering how/when does the 40,000 warranty come into play ? The 970, from many reviews I read is very noisy , so I'm leaning away from it. Wondering your thoughts on the 2 ?
Thanks

Jim, when I switch out the run flats on my 2012 535i , will the BMW TPMS work the same , or do you know of issues I may have ?
Thanks
Really the difference is all season RE970 and a Max Performance summer tire in the S04. You give up about 10K miles with the S04 for better wet and dry performance. The S04 will not work below 45 degrees.
If I can help let me know.

Missed it, the sensors will still work and warn you that you are loosing pressure. You are going to get much better ride quality with the non run flats.
