1974 '02 rear brakes on all the time

Hey Gang, My '74 '02 has had a problem with the rear brakes. It's as if someone is applying the brakes all the time. I have solid brake lines going to the rear cylinders, new rear cylinders, new pads, rotors and emergency brakes. If I adjust the brakes they spin fine, but as soon as I apply the brakes they lock up. The system has been flushed several times so that's not it either. Could it be the master? What do you think?

Have you replaced the flexible rubber lines leading to the rear control arms? If they are original, it is likely they are collapsed internally and are acting like a check-valve.

When did that start happening? Maybe the wheel cylinders are E21 units (bigger)?

    Ask at 2002faq.com also...

    Cheers,
