    22RPD Tuned GTW6765 87mm Built S52 Powered E36 Breaks 700whp :)

Well I finally hopped on the dyno yesterday and am happy with the results although I know she had a little left in her.

Here's the summary of the trip to the dyno:

This is a dynocom (the dynojet was booked till next week, I know boohoo lol). My friend ran his na m3 on this dynocom and the local dynojet and got nearly identical results a few years back so it should be similar enough. A little reading on the Internets seemed to back that up as well.

I have a 1 bar spring in the gate with a cheap ball and spring type mbc on the car right now unfortunately so I know there's a bit of spool/ torque left on the table.

The first run it made 617whp and 612wtrq with the oporater pulling out at 6850. He did a run directly after that to 7100 but it was a little heat soaked and only made 612whp and 590wtrq (which for some reason is the sheet he gave me ). It was also in the 90's most of the day so that didn't help.

I then dumped 5 gallons of 100LL Avgas in for safety and slowly turned it up. We battled afr's a bit as we turned it up and she flowed so much more air but after a couple revisions we were able to tame them.

Once afr's were in check it made 718whp and 669wtrq at 23psi

Then the last run it made 730whp and 669wtrq with a short spike to 26 and settling at 25psi

I'm definitely happy with the result of my first trip to a dyno. I wish I had had a little more time to keep turning it up but I suppose there's always next time.

Honestly I'm most impressed with the torque this thing makes and how little back pressure the setup has. Being able to run 20psi on 92 octane without any knock is awesome! I really didn't expect to hit 600/600 on pump. The car is an absolute animal on the street and will be heart breaking to sell, but such is life.

I'll try and post some aem failsafe logs as well that show boost afr's etc. Their sensor kept falling out of the downpipe and since I had the failsafe hooked up and logging we just decided not to use it after the first few pulls

Whoever got you that GTW turbo must be a real nice guy.

    Impressive numbers.
Should be easy 140 in the 1/4 on 100 octane. Looking forward to seeing it.

My next turbo will be a GTW.
But, after driving Phil's EFR car, it may not be. I want to see what he is doing at 20#'s on the strip. I've been wanting a gtw6265 for some time. Now maybe a gtw6465. If this precision ever fails.

Haha thanks again for the hook up! Very stoked to hear that about the efr as that's the main reason I decided to drop this gtw kit into a car that I will be selling instead of keeping it on the acs widebody. I would love to throw the new steed into the widebody with an efr8374 strapped to it I hope he gives a full review of it compared to his gtx4088 and 35r soon.

The transit response from the EFR is stupid. I think that's what's going to make the biggest difference. When you shift and lay back into it, crazy things happen. He is spinning 275 drag radials. As for power, it pulls a little harder than his 35r did. Maybe a little more than a little.
I'm not 100% sure I would give up the 6466 for a 8374. I totally understand why he did for his driving habits. My playing is 90% on the freeway, where he has different habits. So, I don't feel the slower response as much as he does.

Based on Chelsea Denofa's dyno of the GTW he's now running, the DBB 6466 still out spools it and makes more power up top. As for the EFR, that should be MUCH more fun for a street car!

Impressive numbers! That housing/turbo size is pretty big/laggy, I'd imagine a 0.82 or 0.96 would've come on earlier. I'd be interested to see how this set-up would do on 100% e85 with bigger injectors.

I would love to see how she responds to e85 and an electronic boost controller. Honestly on the street it doesn't feel very laggy, especially with the torque it's making. I've been getting 20psi by 4400 regularly. I'm sure the 6466 still outperforms it but then again you can't find them for under $1k brand new either.

Nice numbers, must be fun to drive although idk how you'd control that on street tires lol. Why do the pulls seem so short? Just cause it's reaching redline that fast?

Thanks! I temporarily stuffed the wheels and tires from my widebody on there. Had to lift the back a bit lol. 18x10 fikse's with 265 rs-r's at 40psi which seem to hook most of the time. It has a zf310 with 3.15 diff so no reason for the pulls to be shorter

the more power a car has the faster it can overcome the inertia if its not loaded additionally.

Nice numbers! Sounds like a really short run though? What gear were the pulls done in and would you share the entire dyno sheet (w/ RPM on the bottom)?

He was running 5th the first few runs but I had him switch to 4th once I realized he had been using 5th since that seems to be what most use here. I was hoping to get data that was easily comparable to the majority of the previous builds that have been documented here.

Thanks! Unfortunately they were lazy and didn't log rpm or manifold pressure :/ I can post up the corresponding aem failsafe data logs later when I'm home. Better than nothing I suppose.

Hit the strip on 100. Youll be kicked out real quick with that power. Should hit 140 for sure.

    I forget this was T3. So maybe T3 1.08 is like T4 .82 ? Or T4 .XX?

    Since most say the t3 .82ar is like a .68ar t4 I think this is around .82-.84 T4

Plenty of room actually as its only slightly bigger than a 35r. The first two pics are the gtw on a t3 spa and the last (one with the blue pressure plate in the pic) is a gtx35r on a t3 spa and both setups have the 4" rallyroad motor mount arm
