e90 - Limp Mode after battery submerged in water

Hey guys , So I was in an accident and after it , I parked it outside for a while , not realizing water was dripping down to the battery when it was raining where it was hit . It's 2008 328i Auto . Right now it starts but only drives in safe / limp mode . Engine logo will show in front of the display . Anyone else had that issue ? PS my battery has 2 red power cables going to the bottom and are connected to the car . THOSE cables were submerged in water . Car ran fine even after the accident but once it started raining and left for couple months - it went into limp mode

Yeah I have a 2001 Tahoe that was in limp mode... Don't think a battery could cause a limp condition usually limp mode is to deal with the tranny because your I have a sound system more power than yours and still have an underrated battery that got sprayed water on many times and it's perfectly find do your lights dim at all?

Lights are ok , everything seems ok except the no power in the drivetrain . I don't know what those two cables are for , therefor by submerging them in water , I don't know what could of possibly been damaged by making a short in the system . It's basically two power cables submerged in water surrounded by the ground of the car
