E46 steering wheel replacement question.

Hi, everyone, I have a 323i with the sport steering wheel, it look very bad now so I want to replace it, I found several online and actually a very nice one for a low price (on eBay of curse) but it is the regular steering wheel not the sport, are those two interchangeable? I've been looking at videos on YouTube and the connector, the center bolt etc, look similar, just a small difference on the base but it looks like it fits, any suggestion will help, thank you very much.

It will fit...But why not re-wrap it with leather?
wheelskins.com sells wraps, and even customs. I plan on doing this to my worn sport wheel.
