hello, so i bought the license plate delete strip from bavauto, but it is not color matched to my car so i have to paint it. will one can of the touch up paint from bavauto be enough? its 12oz and also do i need to get a separate can of primer as well?

Not sure about how much paint you will need. Get some adhesion promoter. Clean the trim well, did I say clean the part well? Clean it well, adhesion promoter, color paint. Follow the directions for the promoter. If done properly, it will last and look like a matching part.

I use bullydog adhesion promoter. Go to a auto paint shop, not walmart.

The paint is only as good as the prep.

Take your time. Put up some pics when you are done.

Im about to paint some trim pieces as well.

Should we use primer over the adhesion promoter?

You can prime after. That would probably help cover better, especially if the base color of the trim is black.

Also applying primer over adhesion promoter gives you assurance that you didn't miss anything in the prep.

One can will be more than enough. Follow the directions on the cans regarding when to spray what.
