So my memory got jogged..anybody here used to be on Roadfly??

One of my first internet forum experiences was way back 2002 when I"d ordered a brand new M3, which I still have. Man those were some fun times. I actually learned how to cut and paste and copy and move photos and photograpy tips and internet communication and uploading skills, for the most part because of my excitement over that car and the fun I had with others on the Roadfly M3 board. Then later, the "M lounge" got started for all of the smartassed, foul mouthed haters and sarcastic SOBs on the "main board" who were going to get banned if they didn't clean up their act. We had guys with M6's, M's, and M5's of all ages/vintages and it was great. I'm not even sure why it failed to keep any steam..

We had some epic threads up in there, shared a ton of funny life experiences and saw some great jokes and memes..My favorite thread of all time was from this guy named Dale who came on and coined the term "FMJ" when he called us all foul mouthed jerks. I still have my FMJ M lounge t shirt, lol

My username of choice (M3 and my business, Meat combined) was from there and nobody ever really got it. Most thought I was trying to be a porn star or something when they saw my M license plate.

Anybody else remember that board, or partake??

Yeah lol there's a bunch of E24 people that I see in person who claim to still use roadfly and ONLY roadfly. I have no idea why. I'd rather call people on the phone than wade through that idiotic circa 1994 format.

I was on there, and before that it was Susies email chain i think it was called, and then there was also the efnet sites. I was one of the shit talk posters, and then we got together and bmwmpoweronline.net was born and then renamed dtmpower, and blah blah blah...

How about the flame wars involving JT WARD, also joined bimmerforums around the same time, and I havent changed my bfc info since then, it keeps asking me too but i refuse lol.

*edit* - when i say we got together, it was really james and dado and some other ppl that created the site... but the shit talkers made it, one thing is for sure.. you never messed with the mods when they could edit your posts..

Except there isn't a new thread yet this year and threads from 2014 aren't that far down the page...

I was on there, i was also on richard wetly's old "BMW Digest" back in the early days, and the UUC digest slightly later (back when UUC was a bunch of guys hiding mods from their spouses). Think i've always used the same username.
