Hello, I am replacing my Central Support Bearing, I took off my guibo joint, marked the drive shaft where it comes apart, and am now trying to get to the clamping sleeve and the bolt on the inside of the U joint.
The U-Joint bolt turned out to be smaller than 19 but bigger than 17 (Seriously Germans?) Can I take the clamping sleeve without taking out the bolt first?
I have been looking at the repair manual, but the images show the clamping sleeve much more visibly (smaller size diff) than mine and am not sure which component here is the sleeve.

Is it the thin section of drive shaft past the worn out bearing, and will pliers do the job?
