strange tire wear don't know what it is (e61)

    Sup guys.

When it came time to swap in the winter, I noticed my rear tires were all screwed up.

This is coming from a e61.

The tires wear is caved in, in the middle (over inflation?) and inside of the edge was down to the cords.

There was some vibrations so figured swapping these out for my winters would fix the problem.

These are all balanced oem bmw wheels, and I mounted them. And I still have vibrations when I go above 60mph. The vibrations feel like it's coming from the rear~ but when it's really bad I can feel it in the steering wheel.

So I ruled out wheel balance and tires... what else could be the issue?

The obvious would be a 4 wheel alignment. If you are getting vibration at the brake pedal, then rotors are gone and going off of highway ramps with vibration will take the inside of the tire down to canvas in no time(ask me how I know). Take it to a tire guy and have them check alignment.

Bushings and wheel bearings can also cause vibrations.

Inside wear is not that unusual sometimes it's driving style, alignment or under pressure tires.

    Vibration could be driveline related.

Just because the tires are balanced doesn't mean they'll ride smooth. They may have too much runout in them. In layman's terms, is the tire perfectly round or not. A shop with a Road Force balancer can measure runout. Or could be a bent wheel...
