why do none of the pictures i see have them. do any of you guys have them on your cars? im odd abt this kind of stuff, granted- but i would like to have that in place on both my e34s.
They were the on earlier cars and deleted somewhere around 92. I got one from a junkyard for the 95 touring I had.
My 94 530i, 94 530it, and 95 540i6 all had that cover. Rest of my E34's did not. My 92 525 did not have it so it was probably deleted before then. The capnuts are shown in realoem but there is not a part number shown.

I have a few.

It's cause the break when you try to remove them.
So does anyone one want one?
Andy
I have a few myself if anyone wants one. It really helps clean up the engine bay.
Yes i "need" two. I would prefer all the mounting springs intact. Now someone come up with an oem cupholder so i can stop stealing the wifes.
I ordered the cover from ECS Tuning, but unbeknownst to me the nuts are also a requirement..it'd have been nice if they'd mentioned that little detail!

I haven't had an e34 for a few years, it's detail I've long forgot along
with a bunch of other e34 specific information.
Perhaps you could share the part number for the nuts for anyone else who stumbles upon this thread?
Part number for the nuts is 64111388004
To use the cover, you need three of them. They have rounded heads that the spring clips on the cover clip on to. I went to the pick and pull and grabbed a bunch. You can find the covers on E32s and maybe some E34s.
